Robberies at Arp State Bank

The Arp State Bank was established in 1911 and since then, it has been robbed four times.

Once, a short little blonde haired juvenile woman robbed the bank pulling out 1,757 dollars. She drove up in a 1962 model red sedan. She stuck them up with a .32 caliber revolver.

The next robbery was one where a sheriff’s wife went and robbed the bank pulling out an unknown amount of money. There is not much information on this incident, but it DID happen.

The third robbery occurred when a man, whom no one knows for sure what he looks like, took about 8,000 dollars.

The latest robbery was a little more descriptive. A 33-year old Chinese Troup man, identified as Edward Lee Kentai of Rt. 1, was arrested and charged on a Friday afternoon in which an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. The complaint, signed by a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, alleges bank robbery under Section 2113, Title 18 of the United States Code. He robbed the bank, got caught, went to jail, got out and now is probably planning to rob another. If he did not get out, he is probably still in jail… planning to rob another.
