  Video Tutorials.  Here are the specific ones you will need to 
  understand for this tutorial:


  DV-Digital Video
  A/D-Analog-to-Digital
  Multimedia-The interactive combination of several elements such as video,
    sound, graphics, and text.
  CD-ROM-Compact Disc, Read-Only Memory
  1s and 0s-Codes for on and off
  KB-Kilobytes--about one thousand characters
  MB-Megabytes--about one million caracters
  JPEG-Joint Photographic Experts Group--designed to compress, 
    decompress, and store still images.
  MPEG-Motion Picture Experts Group--full-motion and full-screen 
    video
  DVI-Digital Video Interactive  
  CODECs-Compressor/decompressor algorithms 
  GB-Gigabytes--about one billion characters 
  Playback System-Minimum level of hardware andsoftware to play back 
    multimedia titles. 
  Authoring System-Consists ofcomputers, software, and external 
    hardware that multimedia developers use to createmulitmedia 
    titles. 
  RISC-Reduced Instruction Set Computing--processing chip 
  Closed System-Only Apple-built Macintosh computers were widely 
    available. 
  MPC-Multimedia Personal Computer 
  Video DigitizingCard-A circiut board inside the PC.
