VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP
As you are now in the 5th week of the course, you now have visited many sites. This week’s resources are indicative of the vast resources available to your students. A fun Internet-based activity is the “virtual field trip.” You can travel the Web visiting all sorts of places without leaving your classroom.
A Virtual Field Trip:
Your assignment is to develop a “virtual fieldtrip” on the topic of your choice. Your topic could be an academic topic/unit (such as The Civil War), a tour through a subject area (such as Mathematics on the web or ), or something of a personal nature (such as about a hobbie or a type of pet). Your task will be to gather appropriate resources and weave them into a sequential paragraph that will be the basis of the tour. You may utilize any sites you find on your own. Do remember to use “copy/paste” to place your URLs in your paragraph. Place your Virtual Fieldtrip in your Network folder & label the folder Fieldtrip.
