  • SAT I = 1000+ or ACT = 21+
  • in top quarter of class
  • cumulative GPA 3.0+

Amount:  $4000

Old School Cruizers, Inc. Scholarship (In memory of Bill Brown)

Eligibility:

  • reside in Smith County
  • graduating senior
  • GPA of 2.5 cumulative combined family income of $35,000 or less (1 family member in college; $500,000 or less (2 or more family members in college)
  • attend a college in Tyler, TX

Amount:  $500

Deadline:  May 3

 

Career Colleges and Schools of Texas

Eligibility:

                • high school graduate

• interest in pursuing career in one of 67 participating career schools and colleges  • plan to study an occupation (i.e. automotive, aviation technology, court    reporting, electronics engineering,   allied health careers, travel and tourism, welding, etc.)

Amount:  $1,000 (4 scholarships)  Please see counselor if interested.

Texas Interscholastic League Foundation Scholarship 2004 – 2005

Eligibility:

  • compete in UIL at state contest
  • rank high scholastically, preferably in top 25% of class
  • graduating high school student during year of application and begin college or university the following fall semester
  • attend an accredited college or university in Texas and enroll and pass minimum of 12 hours per term with 2.5+ GPA
  • submit copy of parent’s 1040 form(s), pages 1 and 2; if filed for an extension, submit 2002 forms; single parent, explanation of why other 1040 form not being submitted
  • official transcript and photo

Amount:  $500 - $14,000

Deadline:  May 11 (and not before April 1)
