      Name of Scholarship:  “Imagine” (Your Future in Agriculture)

                                           Scholarship Program

 

Eligibility:

1.      high school senior

2.      have family engage in production agriculture

3.      average to above average academic record

4.      ACT=18; SAT=850

5.      plan to enroll in 2-year or 4-year college in Fall 2004

 

Amount:  $1,500

 

Deadline:  February 15


 

                      Name of Scholarship:  Tyler Junior College Scholarship Program

 

                       Eligibility:

1.   application submitted to TJC;

2.  ACT or SAT score;

3.  brief essay about education and career goals;

4.  high school transcript; and

5.  copy of class schedule if enrolled in college credit courses

Name of Scholarship:  Career Colleges and Schools of Texas

 

Eligibility:

1.high school graduate;

2.interest in pursuing career in one of 67 participating career schools and colleges;

3.plan to study an occupation (i.e. automotive, aviation technology, court  reporting,  electronics engineering,   allied health careers, travel and tourism, welding, etc..).

 

Amount:  $1,000 (4 scholarships).  Please see counselor if interested.

Eligibility:

1.  child of employees of Texas Department of Mental Health/Retardation;

5.      two (2) letters of recommendation (other than science teacher).
