Early High School Graduation Scholarship
Program
Eligibility:

· Plan to graduate form high school in 36 months (from time entered 9th grade)
·
Graduate from high school on or after
Amount: $2000

Eligibility:
·
· Graduated from high school in 2002-2003 or later under Recommended/Distinguished High School Program
· Has enrolled full time in an undergraduate degree or certificate program at an eligible institution
· Has completed a FAFSA and is eligible to receive federal financial aid
· Graduates from college promptly with overall 3.0 GPA
Amount: $1,860 to $3,140 in college loans forgiven

National Co-Op Scholarships
Eligibility:
· High school senior
· Enrolled in a cooperative education program
· Plan to attend junior or senior college after graduation
Amount: $5,000 - $20,000

Presidential, Dean’s and Community Scholarship
Awards

· Top ranking high school seniors
· Academic achievement and scholastic involvement
Amount: $1,000 - $40,000

Teens Serving
Eligibility:
· High school senior with demonstrated excellence in the areas of service, leadership and personal accomplishment
· Two-page essay describing contributions to the above areas and completed application submitted to principal.

Eligibility:
· High school senior
· Exemplary GPAT, SAT or ACT and graduation plan
· Written essay (see application for topic) and completed application submitted to principal.

Charles, Lela and Mary Slough Foundation
Scholarship
Eligibility:
● Completed application typed or printed in
black ink only
● 300 word essay describing need for scholarship
● Official high school transcript
● Copy of “Student Aid Report” from FAFSA
Amount: up to $5,000 annually for 5 years

Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Arp HS will have a financial aid counselor on campus each month for the
remainder of the school year so that parents can schedule a time for getting
help with completing the FAFSA form, both the electronic and mail-in.
Do know that completion of the FAFSA is required for securing not only grant money (funds that do not have to be repaid) but for other forms of college monetary subsidies (i.e. Texas Grant, B On Time Loan, etc.) as well.
FAFSA forms are in the foyer of the counselor’s office.
Other important information:
On the CD is an opportunity for 5 students statewide to win a TI-83 calculator.
