East Texas Tech Prep Consortium Funded for 7th Consecutive Year 1998-1999 |

| Let's stretch
to the limit. The East Texas Tech Prep Consortium was awarded funds for another year
to carry out Tech Prep activities in East Texas. We are fortunate to have dedicated
educators in our area. Our seventh year will be another exciting year with your
continued support. Our plan was approved by our Executive committee in April, and
the committee will meet on August 4 for a Grand Slam Breakfast to begin implementing the
plan.

Network Grant Awarded to East Texas Tech Prep Consortium

| The consortium was awarded a Counselors' Network grant through a Tech Prep supplemental grant awarded to Weatherford College. This award will be used to conduct at least two Counselors' Network workshops in our region. Surveys have been mailed to area counselors asking for their input regarding topics to be covered in the workshops. Counselors will meet on August 4 for a Grand Slam Breakfast to share their ideas.
