Essential Elements

Name of Project:  Should be interesting and helpful to recognize project (5 Points)

Description of Project: Should include brief description of process and content.  How will you insure that your project is interactive and dynamic? (15 Points)

Learner Objectives to the Address:  What will the learner learn and at what mastery levels will the project demand that they be engaged?  (15 Points)

Students Involved:  What age level, group, type of student involvement will be necessary for this project. (10 Points -- more points for more age groups, cultures, varied backgrounds and expertise)

Resources Needed to Accomplish Project Objective:   What types of technologies, time, facilitators, books, software, hardware...will be needed?  (10 Points --complete budget for up to $1,000 and in exemplary cases $2,000)

Team Members:  Who will be collaborating on this project? (15 Points -- more collaboration & outside entities the more points)

Process of Evaluation and Assessment of Project Objectives:   Who will create the criteria for the project?  What are the criteria?   How will you know if a student has accomplished the criteria? How often will you evaluate (formative & summative). (20 Points -- include the evaluation instrument(s) that you will use)

Training / Planning Sessions Needed for Project:   What type of training will be involved, who will give it, when will it be given?  Do you need a facilitator? How many planning sessions will you need to meet with collaborators?   (10 Points)

Timeline: Give a brief overview of a timeline for your project.  When will it begin and end.  When do you expect to reach milestones and what are they? (10 Points)
