Teacher ONLINE Tools for Technology Integration

WARNING: Teaching effectively with technology requires new roles for teachers and students. Not understanding these roles may result in supporting old instructional habits with expensive new tools.  The best example we offer is:

using a computer (@ $2,000)

scan converter (@ $150) and/or

video projector (@ $3000)

 to project nothing more than duplicates of old overhead projector ($300) transparencies to students.  Obviously, there is no enrichment or advancement in motivational strategies nor instructional benefit to the students even with the high price tag.
