If six-weeks averages do not reflect the achievement of a student and you wish to assign extra credit, you may do so using the following steps: (1) Create a new assignment (2) Label it as you like -- in this instance it is labeled extra credit
Instead of assigning a NORMAL GRADE, you have the choice of
assigning the Extra Credit to apply to the overall average OR to apply to a category. If you are worried about the overall average...make that selection....and "tweak" the grade by 1 or 2 points (whatever is appropriate). For students who do not receive extra credit, no penalty will be applied to their averages. |
