Assigning Extra Credit

If six-weeks averages do not reflect the achievement of a student and you wish to assign extra credit, you may do so using the following steps:

(1) Create a new assignment

(2) Label it as you like -- in this instance it is labeled extra credit

Instead of assigning a NORMAL GRADE, you have the choice of

assigning the Extra Credit to apply to the overall average

OR to apply to a category.

If you are worried about the overall average...make that selection....and "tweak" the grade by 1 or 2 points (whatever is appropriate).

For students who do not receive extra credit, no penalty will be applied to their averages.
