Introduction – INTERNET BASICS
  • Participants will be expected to examine some examples of multimedia projects on the web.

Work In Centers –
  • Digital Camera Stations –
    1. Take a photo of your group
    2. Save the photo as a JPG
    3. Save in your network folder
Scanner Station –
    1. Draw a picture of your classroom using markers & paper provided
    2. Scan your artwork into the computer
    3. Save the scanned image as a JPG in your network folder
Audio Station
    1. Launch Cool Edit
    2. Record a short introduction
    3. Save the sound with the filename extension of "filename.AIF" in your network folder

Assignment

  • Web Page Design –
    1. At your group’s station design a web page to represent your DREAM CLASSROOM.  
    2. Use paper and markers to create your dream classroom.  Scan this picture into your network folder for the Web pages.
    3. Use a digital camera to take a picture of your group.
    4. Discuss ways your dream classroom will assist you in using the Internet in your classroom. Be creative!
    5. Insert your group photo on page 1, your scanned image with discussion on page 2, and a sound recording on page 3.
