In each grade kindergarten through fifth,
students will study and write a variety of types of text in the four major
genres: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama. Listed below are the types
of texts that will be emphasized at each grade level.
Grade K Participate in writing behaviors by using authors' models of
language. Write by using models.
Grade 1 Stories, journal entries, letters, response logs, simple poems,
oral retellings. |
