In the early sixties, when our rocket scientists became competent in rocket science, propulsion science, and aeronautics, they went where no man had gone before -- the sent a man to the moon.

Our dream for all learners is that at some point, learners will exceed quality production and extend their level of creativity beyond all expectations.  If given a rich environment with amble tools and opportunities, students will "go where no man has gone before."

Students who are innovative exceed expectations and create products, solve unique problems or serve in a professional or profound capacity.  This happens every year in many classrooms.  The goal is to extend this occurrence to every classroom by providing students opportunities to participate in innovative programs.

For programs to be considered "innovative" they must include at least one outside system -- a system outside the K-12 environment. (i.e. business partner, global component, field expert, higher education, health or research organization, professional partnership, or collaboration.)
