Book Study Rubric

Select a book for studying that will assist you in performing your duties as a Teacher Leader. The book selected should in some way deal with the Needs Identified in the district.

Upon completion of the book, you will be asked to create a presentation (PowerPoint, Web Quest, ClassServer Lesson, Flyer, Newsletter, etc.) and distribute the presentation to the entire faculty and administration.

Below is the rubric by which your presentation will be scored. To gain CPE credit for this artifact, you must score at least 16 out of a possible 20.

Delivers the material in a way as to engage the learner and evoke a documented response
Engages the learner in such a way as to change the practices or behavior of the learner (peers)

 

Clarity of Purpose

 

 

Defines the purpose of the author
Defines the purpose of the author and relates it to Teacher Leadership Qualities
Defines the purpose of the author with accurate and clear  details and/or procedures.
Demonstrates the purpose with clear procedures or examples.

 

Ethics and Copyright

 

Mentions the author of the material
Correctly sites copyrighted materials using MLA style
Demonstrates understanding of copyright material & provides a Resource Page
Ethical use of all information. Supplies Resource Page and Bibliography

 

Communication Skills

Infrequent grammar or spelling errors
Communication of ideas  clear.
Communication of ideas clear, precise, and succinct.
Communication of ideas worthy of publication to School Web Site.
