Working Together S.O.S.
Purpose: Early intervention
Function: S.O.S. is a student support team which functions as a support group for any
student who is experiencing academic or behavioral difficulties. Students may be referred
by his\her teacher or parent. The committee makes recommendations concerning appropriate
options for addressing each student's educational needs.
Committee members: Principal, Counselor, 504 Coordinator, Teacher, Special program teacher
(if applicable)
Procedure:

This is not 504. We must go through this process first to see if the student needs
to be referred for 504 placement. Ifsignificantground can be gained through this process,
a 504 referral will not be necessary. Modifcations can be made in pacing, assignments,
and\or instruction.
