High School Principal’s Receptionist/Attendance

The following duties are to be preformed by the High
School Principal’s Receptionist:
- Arrive by 7:30 a.m. to receive student return notes and
generate back-to-school passes
- Answer incoming calls using professional and helpful
etiquette
- Greet and/or direct all guests at front window
- Follow the job description duties in the Attendance
Accounting Handbook and School Policy.
- Maintain the period-by-period attendance log and tardies
log.
- Maintain and Code students absences
- Collect electronic attendance at 15 minutes after each
period starts, print and file daily attendance sheets in a binder with the
period-by-period attendance sheet.
- Print out cycle and Semester Attendance Reports
- Contact Teachers via e-mail on who did not submit
attendance
- Maintain accurate “tardy” information and distribute to
all teachers via daily e-mail. Inform principal of any necessary discipline
with excessive tardies.
- Run Teacher Roster for student membership for the 1st
and 4th six weeks
- Send all attendance warning letters to parents via
certified mail
- Process necessary paperwork to file truancy charges on
students/parents
- Attend court on all truancy cases
- Maintain a separate set of Annual Folders for
Discipline, Tardy Slips, Parental & Doctor Notes for absences, Notice of
Concerns and Attendance
- Compile “No Corporal Punishment” List for High School
Office
- Maintain and enter all discipline information daily
- Maintain TREx – Student Request of Records sent
electronic via intranet
The High School Attendance Clerk
will receive form the High School Principal a Yearly evaluation based upon these
duties. The Attendance Clerk may be asked to perform other duties as
necessary. These other duties will be taken into consideration at time of
evaluation.
