Dual Credit

The dual credit program in cooperation with Tyler Junior College is designated for students who hope to earn college credit, while at the same time fulfilling high school academic requirements.  . If the student does not pass a dual credit or dual participation course that is required for graduation, the student will not receive credit. Dual Credit grades count in the student’s GPA or ranking. Students must successfully complete course requirements to receive credit. Courses offered on the high school campus include: English 1301/1302, History 1301/1302, College Algebra, Government and Economics.  

 

To enroll in Dual Credit courses, seniors must pass the required part(s) of TAKS and/or the THEA of Accuplacer to enroll. Juniors must pass all parts of TAKS and/or the THEA or Accuplacer to enroll. Students may be exempt from outside test requirements because of, TAKS, SAT, and/or ACT scores.  Tyler Junior College makes the final determination on all admissions to their courses.
