NOTE: The Cluster 1 TEKS posted here were filed with the Texas Register on August 6, 1997 and are expected to be published in the Texas Register issue dated August 15, 1997. The Register editors may make additional technical changes to the TEKS. Such changes will be incorporated into the TEKS posted here at a later date.
| July 11 | State Board of Education adopts the TEKS (Cluster 1). |
| August 6 | Adopted TEKS are filed with the Texas Register. Adopted TEKS are available on-line in HTML and Microsoft Word 6.0 files. |
| August 15 | Adopted TEKS are published in the Texas Register (tentative), with any technical changes required by the editors of the Register. |
| September 1 | Final version of the TEKS as published in the Texas Register is available on-line in HTML and Microsoft Word 6.0 files. |
| October 1 | Final version of the TEKS (Clusters 1 & 2) is printed and distributed to school districts. |
