Arp Elementary TAAS Camp

12 Arp Elementary teachers nurtured TAAS skills during TAAS Camp. Each teacher chose one Math objective and one Reading objective and then prepared for 3 grade levels for her particular objectives. We had games, overheads, etc. instead of a whole lot of worksheets. The students had a two day rotation for Math because their are so many objectives in that subject. on day of reading and two more days of Math. It took a lot of work on the part of Janet Shuttlesworth, Betty Swinney, Cindy Rivers, Pam Robinson, Judy Thomas, Lara Parker, Jill Herrington, Ruth Smith, Melanie Kilman, Tammy Harris, Sherri Kain, Carla McCauley and me. We had two subs who worked very, very hard--Lisa Harvey and Jaime Cooper. Pam Hamilton and Kristy Thomas served snacks daily just like camp. We had theme days--football, baseball, basketball, field day, and All-Star Day. We started each day with a Pep-Rally. The children and parents really enjoyed this. The feedback was GREAT!!
