Having this kind of access will
improve parent and teacher communication as well as student responsibility.
Parent access will be available by the first progress reporting period,
Monday, September 19, 2005.
It is our goal that teachers will update grades for each student by
Tuesday of each week. Should questions arise about individual student
progress and/or entries for particular classes, the parent/student should
talk directly with the teacher or by email to the
teacher. All
teacher email addresses are available on each campus site:
http://www.arp.sprnet.org/webmaster/Faculty/Dndx.htm
Please remember the grades you see might not include
all assignments or tests that have been completed by your child. As
teachers complete the grading of assignments and tests, the teachers will
update the report weekly. Neither GradeSpeed nor Arp ISD make any
guarantee or warranty, neither expressed nor implied, as to the accuracy or
timeline of the information contained within the grade system.
Information retrieved via the web site should be regarded as unofficial and
nonbinding in nature. Grades/Attendance is current to the last entry of
each teacher.
Please be aware that the district cannot provide
technical support for this program and will not be responsible for your
inability to access this site from your home or office.
In order for
access to be granted to GradeSpeed, your child must have a username and
password on the Arp ISD network. If you and your child have satisfied
the requirements of the
Arp ISD Acceptable Use Policy, you are welcome to print out the
form available from the link below. It is important that the legal
guardian personally return this form. When the form is returned in
person to a campus office, a school employee will validate that you are
the responsible guardian and sign the form to verify your identity. The
form will then be sent to the Tech Department so that access can be
granted. The Tech Department will email you (or mail) the username and
password needed for access. The procedure is in place for security
reasons and for your family's protection.
You can also come into the office and pick up a form. If
you have students at different campuses, you only need to return one form to one campus.
In addition, the link to the Parent Access website will be posted on
the Arp
website. Once your application has been processed, you will receive
instructions on how to access your child's account along with a unique ID
and password.
AISD will not make your username/password
publicly available. The grades of your student posted on the website can be
accessed only by appropriate official school personnel and by the private
username and password that will be generated for you.
As with any educational record, please be
aware that disclosure by AISD, including the contents of the website, may
occur in the event such information is required by a court subpoena order, a
decision or directive from the Attorney General's Office, or other reason
required by law.
All transactions taking place on the Arp
ISD network are protected by Federal, State, and local laws. If you are
unfamiliar with these please refer to:

Because the security of your personally
identifiable information is of concern to the district, Arp ISD has
physical, electronic and managerial procedures in place to assist us in
providing secure transmission of your information from our servers to your
PC. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be
guaranteed to be perfectly secure. As a result, while Arp ISD strives
to protect your student's personal information, we cannot and do not ensure
or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our
online services, and you do so at your own risk.
You may share your username/password with
those whom you consider to have a legitimate interest in your student's
grades. You may cancel this service, or change your password by contacting
Joy Rousseau at joy@arp.sprnet.org
